New Settee Cushions
The fabric is Sidney in Seaspray by PKaufmann.
The old cushions were square on the ends leaving gaps beside the hull. The new cushions are angled to fill the gaps. Both the seats and the seatbacks extend to the hull for a cleaner more finished look. The seatbacks both have cuotouts for the shelf.

Car Seat Cover
The old seats were taken down to the frames. The covers, batting and foam were discarded. The frames were dirty and rusted but sound.
The frames were wire brushed, primed and painted. The burlap was replaced, and new deck pads were added to support the new foam.
I was able to get the covers on but not hog-ringed.
The owner and his friend got it done. But they labored hard to get the covers fastened.
Once in a while there comes a job that shows you your limits. A customer brought in the seat for his restored '71 Chevelle along with a new cover. All I had to do was put the cover on. I thought prepping the frames would be the hard part. I was so very wrong. Watching the customer and his friend wrestle with the covers to get them hog ringed to the frames made me decide not to do car seats. I will leave them to the auto trimmers.
